Once you try the homemade version, you won’t want to go back to the store bought stuff! I’m not going to lie, it definitely tastes different than the store bought you are used to. But it’s real ingredients and I don’t think that is ever a bad thing!

I have been making this recipe for years and never get tired of the variations with it.

Homemade peanut butter, I love you!

Cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, salt, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla…the possibilities are plenty.

I also use this as the base for my peanut butter cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 15 Ounces Dry and Unsalted Peanuts (salted if you prefer)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (oil of your choice / “allowed” oil)
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon (Optional)
  • 1 Tsp Salt (Optional)
  • 1 Tsp Cocoa Powder (Optional)
  • 1 Tsp Honey (Or sweetener of your choice / optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place bag (typically 15 ounces) of dry roasted and unsalted peanuts in food processor
  • Let it run for a few minutes, watching for it to start balling up.
  • Slowly begin to add in oil until you achieve your preferred consistency. 
  • Add in optional cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, salt to taste. The above recommended measurements are a good place to start.
